Description
Early American , antique wool blanket, hand woven, cream color with red plaid grid measuring 76×78 inches. A small section has hand embroidered motifs started in the large squares and at the plaid intersections. The hand embroidery is in wool thread with chain stitches and other stitches. There is a hand sewn seam down the center of the blanket. Two edges are finished by hand, as well. It is in fair condition with several small holes and wear areas, and period repairs. This is a great learning tool/textile for a work in progress. From a New York Collector. If you have any doubt, please ask questions!
