Description
Antique c1900 Basket Quilt measuring 82 x 86 inches. It is comprised of 36 Basket blocks, 9 x 9 inches, set on point, 6 by 6, with pink print alternating squares and setting triangles. There is a 2.5 inch striped shirting inner border, a one inch double pink print outer border on the sides and 4 inches on the top and bottom. It is hand and machine pieced, hand appliquéd, and hand quilted. There is thin cotton batting and off white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with and applied pink print fabric binding. It is in good condition with just a few small spots and discolorations. From a Wisconsin Collector. If you have any doubt, please ask questions!
