Description
Antique c1870 Pineapple Log Cabin Comfort Quilt that we believe was finished in the 20th Century. It measures 82 x 82 inches. It is comprised of 16 blocks, 21 x 21 inches, set straight, 4 by 4. There is a thin cotton batting and a brown solid reverse. The edge is finished with and applied red bias tape binding by machine. It is hand pieced, and hand tied. It is in fair condition with several small spots and several areas of fabric splitting. The tied comfort consistently uses a bright blue print wool challis, and a light brown chambray fabric. The center of each block is a solid red. I believe the quilt top was finished much more recently with newer fabrics on the back, binding, and tied. Very graphic piece, and there is a sleeve on the back for hanging. If you have any doubt, please ask questions!
