Description
Vintage c1940 Crazy Quilt with mostly cotton and rayon fabrics. It measures 72 x 66 inches. It is comprised of 4 blocks about 36 x 33 inches, set straight, 2 x 2. It is hand appliquéd, hand embroidered with minimal hand quilting. There is a blue and yellow plaid flannel reverse, and a thin blanket inside as batting. The edge is finished with the back brought to the front, and applied by hand. Every seam is hand embroidered in a colorful embroidery floss. It is in good condition with several spots. This quilt is part of the Estate of widely respected Sharon Stark of Sharon’s Antiques Vintage Fabrics and Textiles of Eastern PA. She was an author and long time collector and dealer of antique quilts, fabrics and textiles. Sharon was THE authority on Feedsacks, and you may remember her Rickrack website.
