Description
Calling all Orange Lovers! Vintage c1930 Trip Around the World Quilt measuring 81 X 83 inches. Comprised of 2 inch squares, set on point, in a field measuring 57 x 58 inches. Fabrics include 1930s prints and solids, 1900s prints, and 1890s prints. The trip around the world pattern is created with fabric and color placement. There is a bright orange cotton solid border measuring about 12 inches on all 4 sides. There is an indigo stripe print reverse and thin cotton batting. The edge is finished with the front brought to the back and applied by hand. It is machine pieced and hand quilted. It is in good condition with no issues noted. This quilt is part of the Estate of widely respected Sharon Stark of Sharon’s Antiques Vintage Fabrics and Textiles of Eastern PA. She was an author and long time collector and dealer of antique quilts, fabrics and textiles. Sharon was THE authority on Feedsacks, and you may remember her Rickrack website.
